According to
Taiwan based Commercial Times reports, Nokia has already placed orders for netbooks with Quanta and Compal.

Quanta will reportedly deliver Atom based notebooks, and they are expected to go on sale in the third quarter at the earliest. As Intel's next gen Atom platform won't be ready by then, the netbooks will obviously be based on current N270/280 or Z530/Z520 parts.

Compal on the other hand, is tasked with delivering Snapdragon-based smartbooks, but no date for the new products has been reported. It will also be interesting to see what kind of OS Nokia chooses for its smartbooks.

In case you've missed it, Nokia yesterday announced a strategic long term deal with Intel.
