With DirectX 10.1 flavor

Nvidia is working hard to introduce its 40nm mobile GPU lineup and since this didn’t happen at Computex as we originally expected, now we are hearing that the launch has been pushed back for later this month. Some of the notebooks were simply not ready to launch in the first days of June.

The new chips are not G92 based like the previous Geforce 200M and 100M series, due to this new architecture being based on the G200 version, modified to add DirectX 10.1 support manufactured in the 40nm process.

The 40nm process will allow Nvidia to be very power efficient, much more than with the previous generation, and notebooks are all about that. DirectX 10.1 is definitely the most interesting decision but this gives you an idea that it will probably be at least three quarters if not a year before Nvidia releases any DirectX 11 mobile hardware.
