Computex 2009: Fulfills its promise
In addition to those non-reference cooled HD 4770 cards, Powercolor has fulfilled its promise of launching an HD 4600 series AGP card. Back at CeBIT, we were told that such cards are planned and that Powercolor thinks that AGP market is still not dead and that there is a room for an HD 4600 series card.
Yet again, W1zzard from TechPowerUp scored a picture of this card which works at 750MHz for the core and 800MHz for 1GB of GDDR3 memory. The card has a 128-bit memory interface, and needs additional power from a single 4-pin Molex connector. It has DVI, D-Sub and TV-Out outputs and it is cooled by the same Arctic Cooling cooler that we have seen on their HD 4770 PCS card.
In addition to four more memory chips, the back of the card has that famous bridge chip that makes it compatible with AGP interface. The card looks good and should perform well enough for all those AGP systems looking for an refreshment in the graphics department.
