Intel not thrilled about their heresy

Digitimes is reporting that HP and Dell are planning to launch Nvidia ION-based netbooks and all-in-one PCs in Q3.

Although the platform had been off to a slow start, most major manufacturers now seem to have embraced it. Along with HP, Acer and Dell, the world's top three PC makers, other companies, such as Asustek, MSI, Foxconn, Lenovo and Pegatron have also gone ION.

Intel is reportedly reducing its price incentives to companies working on ION-based products. Furthermore it is closely monitoring vendors' Atom inventories, to prevent them from dumping chipsets bought at a discount and using the CPUs with Nvidia's ION.
