Priced competitively with high-end air coolers

Today, Corsair unveiled its Hydro Series H50 CPU Cooler at Computex that it designed hand-in-hand with the guys at Asetek for about six months.

According to TweakTown, Asetek contacted Corsair about a year ago to discuss plans for reselling one of its CPU coolers. Corsair thought of a better idea, and decided to work directly with Asetek to improve the design. As a result, the Hydro Series H50 was formed.

Corsair showed off a thermal comparison between a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and the H50 running a Core i7 on the EVGA X58 SLI Classified
at 3.97GHz with 1.25v under load with Prime95.  The TRUE managed to keep the CPU at around 79C while the H50 kept it at a much cooler 64C.

TweakTown published a video preview that can be found here.
