Until the end of August

Digitimes cites its sources among motherboard makers claiming that Intel will delay Core i5 series and 5-series chipsets debut from July to September 2009. This is reportedly due to the fact that Intel wants to get rid of its 4-series inventory.

Still, Core i5 CPUs will be available in retail in late August whereas P55-based motherboards will come even sooner.

Intel will launch three Core i5 CPUs with a 95W TDP, running at 2.93GHz, 2.8GHz and 2.66GHz, priced respectively $562, $284 and US$196 in thousand unit purchases.
