Coming in three weeks

OCZ's Z-Drive, PCI-Express based SSD, has shown its face at one European store and should be available in three weeks time.

Unlike the first Z-Drive that was up and running at this year's CeBIT, the retail version will have active cooling and offer read and write speeds of up to 510 and 480MB/s. It still uses the PCI-Express interface, and comes with 256MB of onboard cache.

According to the listing and our information, the Z-Drive should be available in three weeks and will be priced at around €1400, €2200 and €3400 for the 250GB, 500GB and 1TB versions. All three models should backed by a two year warranty.
