Production in 2010

Globalfoundries, rebelled part of AMD that went away and formed a new manufacturing company has plans to take its first 32nm orders in Q4 2009.

The company will be accepting designs in Q4 and if all goes well the designs will turn into chips in 2010, and we can only hope that this will take place in early 2010 rather than in late.

It is quite obvious that the first customers will be AMD with its CPUs and ATI with its graphics, but it will be interesting to see if Globalfoundries can bring out 32nm before TSMC does, and if the answer is yes, this will become rather interesting playground to follow.
