A new opportunity

Hong Kong
based motherboard manufacturer J&W is now talking a step up as it wants to start selling netbooks. They will do their own production and they can probably end up cheaper than the rest of the manufacturers in this crowded market

The white netbook looks really nice and of course it comes with N270, 1.6GHz Atom CPU and 945 chipset, 1GB memory and in the future they might be some other versions of the machine. The machine runs Windows XP and the company is thinking about bundling Ubuntu.

There will be some models to support HSDPA and we liked the fact that the SKU that we’se seen has a special keyboard cover that will prevent you from destroying your PC when you spill something over it, but we are not sure if you want to type over it.

The machine should be available shortly to selected markets and we’ve heard it will be cheaper than the competition which is always good news. It comes with WLAN and Bluetooth, and with a 1.3Mpix camera, but this is not something we haven’t seen before. Here is how it looks.
