But behind closed doors

Acer's Ion
small PC is real. We haven’t pictured it but we’ve seen some Atom + Ion based nettops and small PCs at Cebit and Acer is showing its own Ion behind closed doors. We were kindly asked not to take pictures of any Ion machines we came across, except the Zotac reference one that we’ve seen many times before.

We can confirm that there are some Acer-like, small PC Ion based machines with good design but we don’t know who are the other big names to carry Ion. HP and Dell are rumoured to have their designs, but we cannot confirm this at this time.

Nvidia wants Ion badly and Intel doesn’t like the fact that Ion will make its chipset and platform look bad. Acer should be coming in early Q2, some sources even say April, but we will see.
