Obsidian appears to have given the title the axe
Several sources are now confirming what we have been hearing for the past couple of weeks about Obsidian Entertainment’s RPG based on the Aliens franchise getting the axe. The third-person action RPG based on the Aliens franchise was in development at Obsidian, but beyond that we really know little about the title other than it was in development.
Sega is working on another title based on the Aliens franchise called “Aliens: Colonial Marines,” which is in development at Gearbox, and it should not be confused with the role-playing title that Obsidian had in development. Aliens: Colonial Marines is a squad-based FPS title that was recently confirmed as still on track by Sega.
