Linux support

Opera Software announced that the company has joined the Linux LiMo Foundation.

Opera offered Linux support in the past and developed a Linux browser, but the company hopes that joining the LiMo Foundation will result in developing open and accessible platforms form mobile phones.

In cooperation with other members, Opera will be able to ensure absolute compatibility with Linux platforms.

LiMo Foundation was founded in 2007, and now counts more than 50 members, including some of the top players from the mobile phone industry.
