MSI bashes Asus and Gigabyte once again |

Never ending battle over power-saving features
We managed to get some new slides from MSI's marketing machine, and once again these are talking about the power-saving features. These slides are based on TomsHardware.com tests of all three power saving features on MSI's, Gigabyte's and Asus' P45 motherboards, and if they are true, we don't say that they aren't, Gigabyte and Asus might have a real problem on their hands.
MSI takes great pride in its DrMOS and APS features, and it's using every chance that they get to show that Gigabyte's DES and ASUS' EPU are really just a marketing buzz. According to the slides taken from Tomshardware.com, MSI wins by a large margin in both idle and at full load. The most interesting thing is that Asus EPU actually increases power usage when at load.
MSI also reminds that the APS, or Active Phase Switching, is also OS independent, and that it's switching phases on the chipset and memory as well. Just so it would be fair, Tomshardware.com also did a maximum CPU clock and despite its 6-phase power regulator, it managed to take first and second place.
According to these slides, it looks like MSI's DrMOS is the only real deal, but then again these are marketing slides sent from MSI, and we eagerly await for Asus' and Gigabyte's marketing machinery to kick in after this. (FUD and games, as the Romans would have it... sub.ed.)
