The SFF Aspire X1700

In addition to the new 23-inch full HD display, Acer has also announced a new member of its Aspire desktop lineup, the SFF X1700. This small form factor PC will use a rather modest Intel E2200 CPU, so don't expect to do any serious gaming, as this is a pure blooded office machine.

In addition to the Intel's E2200 CPU working at 2.4GHz, The new Aspire X1700 is based on Nvidia's 630i chipset, comes with 4GB of DDR2 memory, and a Geforce 9400GT card with 512MB of memory which is now known as the G100, at least in the OEM market.

Other specs include a 640GB SATA hard drive for storage, super multi DVD writer with Labelflash technology, 14-in-1 card reader, nine USB 2.0 ports, eSATA port and an HDMI output.

The new Aspire X1700 should be available soon with a suggested price tag of US $479.99.
