Same card with more memory

According to a picture we got, Sapphire is apparently preparing yet another HD 4870 Toxic card, this time with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. The card looks the same as the 512MB version, and it will probably work at the same clocks.

The HD 4870 Toxic series uses dual-slot Vapor-X cooler with VCT (Vapor Chamber Technology) and has three copper heatpipes. The 512MB version works at 780MHz for the GPU and 4,000MHz for the memory, and we suspect that the new 1GB version might work on these same clocks.

The rest of the specifications include DirectX 10.1 support, dual DVI and TV-Out outputs, 256-bit memory interface and support for CrossfireX.

The 512MB version is currently listed with the lowest price set at €221.99, and the new 1GB version might retail at around €250 once it reaches retail/e-tail shelves.
