Thinner, lighter

Asus has
launched a redesigned version of its Eee PC 1002HA. Spec-wise, there's no big news, but the new version looks a lot better, thanks to a sleek design and the fact that much of its chassis is made from brushed aluminum.

It's a bit thinner and lighter than its predecessor, weighing 1.2kg with a 4200mAh battery and measuring 25x18x2.6cm. The only new feature (not-sub.ed.) worth mentioning is MS PRO support, so if you've got a ton of Sony hardware and overpriced memory cards to go along with it, the new Eee should be a good choice.

Let's hope Asus manages to keep the price down. The current 1000H with a 6-cell battery sells for around €375, but the stylish N10 sells for just €25 more.
