Server Grand Prix

One of our beloved readers pointed out quite an obvious thing that we somehow missed about AMD server codenames.

Shanghai is a Formula 1 race, guess where, well in Shanghai. Barcelona, the 65nm server part that didn't do that well, is again, a Formula 1 Grand Prix race. If we continue to follow this trend you will see that Magny-Cours is a French town and a French Grand Prix and chips like Istanbul and Sao Paolo are again Grand Prix, first in Turkey and second one in Brazil.

Suzuka is the DDR3 server chip scheduled for next year and it is, of course, the Japanese Grand Prix. Good catch Gustavo, and we will have to ask Leslie and the rest of desktop team what the heck Deneb and Propus stand for; but these are better codanemes than Swift.
