Gitex 2008: Current products doing fine

We’ve tested
AMD’s low power CPU and platform here and you can see a lot of potential in this low power part. AMD is not abandoning the netbook market and it is seriously considering entering this emerging market more aggressively.

We know that AMD is making a CPU especially for this market, but we don’t know when it's scheduled to launch. It is quite sure that you can expect it in 2009, not before, and AMD definitely wants a piece of this market.

Asus invented it with Intel, left over 900MHz ultra low voltage CPUs, then it expanded it with Atoms and now everyone wants a piece of the pie, including VIA with its Nano CPU and netbook platform.
