3.5-inch helium filled HDDs for datacenters
Seagate has announced that it has finally started to ship its 10TB enterprise-class helium-filled HDDs.

On Wednesday, Seagate announced Innov8, the world’s first power adapter-less USB 3.1 Type-C external hard drive for desktops. The drive is available in an 8TB storage capacity and does not require any power cable to operate, using only a single USB Type-C connector as a source of both power and data.

In an effort to keep up with the ever-increasing high performance storage demands of datacenters and enterprise customers, Seagate has announced it will launch the world’s “fastest ever” solid state flash drive this summer with throughput performance of 10 gigabytes per second (GB/s), according to a new press release.
