Don't care if Nvidia is late they often are. I am just going to wait and see what one offers better performance and buy that one. I will get it cheaper and i will get the best performer.

Of course there is no problem with that. Not the point of my post though, which is that Nvidia releasing their GPU later than AMD is non news as it has happen for a few years now. It would have been news if it was at the same time or before AMD. Just don't get why people are so surprised for something that happens every time. You want to see how the launch will play out, just look at the story's from last year, or the year before.

This is begining to look like Fermi/6month head start all over again. The 7970 is the kick ass king of the hill single gpu at the moment. Just as with the HD5series prices are rising (UK) at the mo ...due to demand as opposed to supply. And the almost certainly sweeter (in price v performance terms) 7950 is out in 14days time. AMD have geared towrads this gen since the 5series...and it's looking quite good!

So all the 7970 early adopters are idiots lol? If you're pulling the price/performance card, 7970 is far from it. Though it's still a solid card. I picked up two and the waterblocks for it will be in by the end of the week.

So you buy 4 new cards a year? Right. The Nvidia mobile breakdowns are EPIC. They are so bad I doubt many can demonstrate a 3 year old working GeForce laptop. Go to Newegg and check out the Nvidia video card reviews. You'll see RMA almost as frequently as words like "the" or "and". Nice try.

It will be faster. If not, they will sell good anyway. Simply because of better rep. Look at steam charts ~60%. I know several ppl who will never buy a AMD card, simply because they had a bad experience with ATI/AMD before. I have had like 50 Nvidia cards and 10 ATI/AMD No problems with Nvidia at all and 3 of the AMD cards needed RMA within 1 year. They still lack quality in my eyes. Drivers lacking too. Especially with new *not so hyped* titles.
