Origin is just another spyware. The thing that sets steam apart from these company based offerings, is that steam is a vendor neutral, digital delivery platform. Having to install a separate digital delivery system for every Game company or fly by night Indie house is not a future i want to be a part of. EA needs to just relax and stop with this origin mess, then we have game for windows live marketplace and Ubisoft is thinking about doing their own service. This is getting annoying

Funny you should put it this way. I'm someone who hasn't played Mass Effect, but has heard good things about it. However, since other games keep me busy enough, I'll probably never getting around to checking out Mass Effect because of these restrictions.

Honestly, I'm not sure I even care about Origin anymore, but having to manage all these different platforms just to play a damn game is very annoying. Frustrating, but hardly a reason not to buy what should be a awesome game.

yeah the only issue i have with origin is the library. to be honest what steam and origin need to do is have a "share library" function, so I can run my origin games (bf3) from steam or vice versa (that way you can choose what prgram you like, which is steam currently, and EA is happy as it still gets a bit of the DD pie).

Origin is a bit unpolished and unstable, but it seems like EA realizes how important digital game sales is, so they are investing a lot on Origin and sticking with it.

TBH he has a point, Origin is so bare, like an empty shell. At least Steam has features and loads of games >.>
