Read my comment again.. I said he meant, not "Everyone".. It's up to the reader's literacy. If the reader is a downright idiot and blind fanboy, he will be childish and too excited despite knowing the real meaning. If he is good-knowledged and not biased he will read the comment carefully and place his comment after that, if needed only. :P By the way, will u take those matters when it comes to buy a CPU?

Sorry but no one in their right mind would split cards up like that, no one cares what process it's on, three things matter, performance, power consumption, and features(Direct X, OpenCL, computing, etc.) But if we are going to talk about who had the fastest card on what process, we should look into Die size, overall efficiency etc.

Umm... Seriously d00d? You take a Dual GPU card that took like a year+ to come out, that has been perfected to hell, and costs like $1400 each, especially considering there are only 1000 of them? Gimme a break. They're extreme editions built for pure hardcore guys. They could do the same with 6990 and it would probably hit on top. talk reference even a little overclocked 6990 vs 590 and you what I said is fact.

I think he meant fastest single GPU in every process, when comparing one brand with another in same process technology.. Fastest card in 65nm process => 9800GTX > GTX280 Fastest Card in 40nm process => GTX480 > GTX580 Fastest card in 28nm process => ???

You are NOT stating a fact. The fastest dual GPU graphics card is the Asus MARS II/2DIS/3GD5. It beats the 6990 by over 20% across the board. http://hothardware.com/Reviews/ASUS-MARS-II-Review-GeForce-GTX-580-SLI-On-One-PCB/?page=12

Uhm the 5800? It was the fastest for quite some time before 480 came, and even then it was still the "better" choice of the two. I know what you mean you mean single GPU and not single card, as technically 6990 and 590 are single cards.
