Meh I think with all these price hikes I might just wait it out until I get my Ivy Bridge in April. Dual GPU Tahiti should be out by then, meant to cost about $800-$850 USD. 7970 in Australia costs $720-$789. Might buy DUAL GPU in America and ship it., and so should 660 GTX or whatever should be out in feb/march. Meant to be about 620 - 750 cores. We'll wait and see though.

@ Robert Yeah but the question you have to ask yourself, is waiting that long worth the extra price boost for you? I'm just on the line of buying it, just need a little push. For example, I currently own a HD 5870, and the last 3-4 months with the major new releases, it's beginning to show it's grey hairs. Shall I dish out ~500 euro for a card now or wait 1-2 months, save 50 euro but not have an enjoyable experience. Is that extra 50 euro worth it for an extra month or 2? I guess that's what you have to ask your self, punk! xD

Anytime a new product is launched the price seems to be high as retailers try to see how much profit they can make by hiking the price far beyond the MSRP. Wait for the initial sales to die down a little and the prices should relax a bit back to what they should be.
