Yeah well easternised marraiges are also mostly forced upon people and arranged by other people, and if you are not compatible with each other then it's ok for the men to beat the living crap out of their wives, until things are ok, and if that fails, sell the wife for a donkey, or better yet find another 14yo girl whose father will sell her for a donkey, and if all else fails, honour massacre the lot and start afresh

There are a few problems with all social networking sites that make relationships even more harder to sustain in these hard times. I don't think the problem is just these sites. I think great deal of the problems in relationships stem from the society in general. A coin always has a flip side. I can only say that social networking sites definitely don't help staying in a relationship, but that, on the other hand, depends on how one's using it; for what purpose? Some people are just natural born cheaters, and of course they would use it to cheat on their partner, and such sites help them in doing that a great deal. In conclusion I would say that yes - in general such sites don't help. They do help in creating new relationships, though.

Like it, believe it, or not, Romance arrives only after Marriage, a true marriage that is, the one whose aim is to procreate in order that all parties might witness the meaning of the intertwining of the generations where the duty of Progeny is to spiritually cleanse their Elders at their own expense with the Elders providing shelter and guidance during Progeny’s learning phase when Within/Reality/Realisation is morphing into Without/Relativity/Thoughts - all at the spiritual and therefore mostly unseen level. Divorce within “Westernised”/”Democratised” marriages are designed to fail should there be no artificial barriers whereas marriages within “Eastern”/Collectivised cultures are designed to succeed should there be no artificial barriers. A Simplicity which Eludes.
