The story, the quests, the varied content. I'm spoiled for choice really, when it comes to questing, instances, PvP and space combat mission. And they're all fun, and remarkably balanced. It's truly the best of BioWare storytelling and MMORPGs in one. Sure, it's not perfect - it doesn't have quite the same spit and polish as WoW - but from what I've seen so far it does things much, much better than AoC, WAR, Rift and the other non-WoW MMOs I've tried. I grant you that it's early to tell at this point but TOR is doing a lot of things better than these other games do.

"...1.5 million players already and the numbers could even be higher" As with any other MMORPG, we won't see real numbers for 6-8 months. Aside from the sci-fi setting, what sets it apart from the slew of other MMORPGs out there? Rift had a huge surge of players in the beginning, now it's more or less stabilized to ~1/3 of them. LOTRO, AoC? Both saw a huge number of players leave WoW looking for something new. Many of them went right back to WoW upon realizing that many of the mechanics remain the same. WoW is dieing a long, grinding death full of pandas and goblin kitsch but no one game is going to knock it of it's throne.

Come on.. they were actually *surprised* by the initial numbers? Star Wars is the biggest franchise in SciFi and they were surprised? Bioware is currently the company with the best reputation, regarding RPS and especially Star Wars relates RPGs. KOTOR still sells for about 30€ in Germany - the price on Amazon is even higher, ranging up to 55€ for a new copy. The numbers may shrink again after one or two months, but the initial peak shouldn't surprise anyone.
