There's no law that states a launch has to have sufficient stock for every one. Besides, by the time nvidia moved their first card AMD already sold several million "paper launched" cards. Here's a joke: hooray for [insert hated corp. name here] paper launch -.- They all do it, no point in bashing just one of them unless you're 10. Then we know why you shouldn't be taken seriously.

Anyway AMD 6000 series will come cheaper. But those prices is basically the AIB's choice not to drop if there is no competition. @faildozzer They are talking about Geforce 400 series who came late and end up very power hungry. Don't be such a fanboy just open your mind. We are not sticking one side here. Which is better/cheaper/power efficient is the best choice.

Is anybody else still holding onto their 8800GT for the 28nm GPUs? It's not like I want to throw away money on every generation, and I shouldn't have upgrade every generation either. Not while consoles still sit on the same hardware and play essentially the same games... so frustrating!

LOL - and you calling yourselves IT "lovers"? :D So from now on we going to believe in every pic (which not even from Nv itself)? And to boys who saying 6+ months after amd 7xxx series - i guess you dont know how to use google - few weeks ago proper sites said that Nv 28nm cards will be out this year, just like amd,and as amd,it wont be high end. 6+ months? LOL - you need to be really stupid to believe in this :D Another Fermi? And whats bad with Fermi?Isnt there are no any single gpu card from amd who can even touch gtx580?gtx 460 and 560 owning low-mid range market, while 570/580 owning high range market. So - whats bad with Fermi?

Probably it's better for our souls to get out of the upgrade cycle for a bit and take the time to go outside and breathe some fresh air. :-) Actually, I'm pretty happy with my HD 5970 running Skyrim at 2650x1600 - I was going to jump on the 'New Zealand' ('HD 7990') bandwagon, but I think I can wait until well after it first comes out. I miss reading exciting articles about new video cards though - haven't done much of that since 2010.
