I'd like to understand what you mean by 'custom exe' because common knowledge states that Crossfire does not work in Skyrim - it actually degrades performance because it needs to be implemented a different way, which will hopefully be implemented in the December Catalyst driver. I have a single HD 5970 card (dual 5870 Crossfire) and performance was poor at Skyrim's launch. I tweaked settings until it worked and looked good-ish, but performance has increased a *lot* with this driver. I can't wait until they re-enable Crossfire to see it go even higher.

Do they eat crazy mushrooms in AMD? WTF did they disable CFX in Skyrim, im running CFX using custom exe and my performance in Skyrim is DOUBLE than running normal... Only thing i do was enable Alternate Frame Rendering and used exe from a game that supports CFX. Just to mention that my cards are HD 4000 series. And Skyrim works flawless on Ultra high and 2x aa.

Whoa! Holy high dynamic range, Batman! In Skyrim, I mean. And it does seem to run smoother on my HD 5970 now that Crossfire is definitely off. Can't wait for even better performance when Crossfire is back on, though.
