Democrats favor destroying liberty and personal morality (e.g. promoting homosexual marriage) while telling you what you can and can not say (e.g. security at the expense of liberty) and Republicans favor big businesses creating monopolies (e.g. the fake shortages of oil) and driving up prices for everything while squashing local competition (the places you should buy at that aren't called Walmart)...neither support personal liberty. If you want to talk politics go Libertarian, the less government is deciding for you the more you decide for you, for better or worse. Frankly it would be nice if survival of the fittest applied to human species again through their own personal actions and not to the whims of corporations and governments.

Well isn't this odd, does anyone remember when Rupert Murdoch claimed that Google were pirates? And if US politicians bow to anyone, it's definitely Rupert Murdoch.. This is what all the Occupy protests was about, Americans don't want their politicians bought like this! I doubt Obama will do anything, he's a good guy, but he'll probably cave, in order to get some crappy deal that's not worth it.

I'm a far left liberal as well, and I hope Obama does oppose this law, but it remains to be seen. If you haven't notice the Justice Department, under obama, has shut down far more web sites, than George W Bush ever did, all without court orders, warrants, or giving those sites any chance to refute whatever claims were against them... Obama says he for net neutrality... but these action prove otherwise.

I hadn't heard that Obama opposed the law to the point of vetoing it. At least one democrat has his priorities straight. I'm very left-leaning, but seriously this law is bad from and person's political point of view (unless you think corporations are people).
