Do people want an ONLY Intel CPU choice? Really? i7 is faster than AMD's Phenom II's and it's newly released FX series. This has been preached ever since Bulldozer's release. We get it, though it doesn't mean AMD's FX CPUs are bad Processors. It's already been discussed, AMD had 32nm process issues along with Bulldozer needing some MAJOR fine tuning. It also does not help when people at AMD keep getting replaced, and project decisions get changed last minute. Right now Bulldozer is here to stay, let's hope AMD gets out the tweaking tools and fixes it's issues. Combine this with a properly working 32nm HKMG process and we have a winner. Right now AMD gets a thumbs up for pushing Innovation. We should expect 8-Core 5GHz speeds with low volts via the new upcoming B3 revision.

this is all really silly, because in both amd and intel research labs they have had cpus with over 20ghz each. It just feels like the Bugatti Veyron deal.

He broke the record on an AMD FX-8150, the same cpu AMD themselves used for the record. Doesn't that essentially mean that he simply "updated" the record? :P
