I like both Microsoft and Apple, but PC > Mac is unarguable. Apple should focus on iPods, iPhones and iPads.

Which would be my point? Apple is currently racking in the vast majority of their profits from the iPhone and iPad, and have been for some time. If the Macintosh computers vanished overnight Apple would hardly blink. To keep people in the fold it'd be better to migrate to a keyboard-equipped tablet before killing the computers altogether however. As for the US I wouldn't know, as I'm Swedish.

I think it's pretty clear to most techheads that Apple have been a on a rapid transition from computer maker to consumer electronics brand for some time now. My prediction is that it won't be many years until they stop making computers altogether. There are better margins in flogging keyboard and storage accessories to tablets and phones than there are in making actual computers. Even for Apple.

Uh, the last time PPC anything beat intel with any conviction was back in the G3 days. It went downhill from there. The G5 was soundly beaten by the P4 Xeon, which itself was soundly beaten by the Opteron. It was a good day when Apple figured it out and went with x86. I hope they don't kill of the Mac Pro, it's an excellent machine.

So they have figured out there is a only a handful of people in the club willing to buy overpriced gadgets? They might own one of each, but as you see, Apple is only good at really selling one product at a time.
