AMD may be good at codenames, but they don't reflect their performance at all. The latest Bulldozer benchies show that it is clock for clock slower than Phenom II!!! These names are more suitable... Bullcrap (1st Gen Socket AM3+) Piles diver (2nd Gen Bulldozer Q4 2012 via Socket FM2) Steaming t**d (3rd gen Bulldozer Q4 2013 via Socket FM2) Haha only kidding guys :-D

There's a issue with this 10% increase in performance. There's two types of Piledriver Cores or there will only be one. Let me explain. Piledriver (8-Core) based on Socket AM3+ is suppose to be about 10% faster in Clock for Clock performance vs. Todays Bulldozer. Piledriver (10-Core) based on Socket FM2 should be about 15% to 25% faster than Todays Bulldozer. As for Steamroller, well I believe the name says it all.

I think AMD claimed ~50% for the CPU core. Not sure about the GPU part, probably not as much - there's not enough space to squeeze in more tranzistors at 32nm, but the architecture could be could be more efficient...

"The cores are codenamed Piledriver, something that most of you know by now and they should be at least 10 percent faster than current Llano Husky cores." Piledriver (2nd generation bulldozer core) should be 10% faster than current bulldozer and who knows how much faster than current Llano Husky core?
