That score isn't much higher than what Phenom II X6 can achieve, and considering that it is 50% faster than Thuban, the fact that Sandy Bridge is about 20% average faster than Nehalem, the fact that Sandry Bridge is about 50% faster than current Phenom II X4 processors, it seems plausible that Bulldozer will compete much better against Sandy Fridge than Phenom II did against Nehalem which didn't. That scores smells like fud, they're comparing it against a Sandy Bridge clocked to 3.0GHz, which doesn't exist, odd!

so is that why they got convicted for anti-competative practices all around the world, and why they settled their court case with AMD by giving AMD everything it wanted AND 1.25 billion dollars to boot? face it, Intel was guilty as sin, and they got off lightly. but AMD got what it wanted out of the court causes. now we just need Intel to comply with what they agreed to do.

because intel had to buy off OEMS not to sell AMD. because intel has made their much used compiler perform poorly on non-Intel system on purpose. (changing just the vendor id on a via CPU to intel can increase performance by up to 50%!) because AMD wasn't allowed by Intel to outsource production. and because it couldnt sell to OEM's didn't have enough investor confidence to borrow money for more fabs. which in turn meant they were always behind in production processes, and limited their R&D budget. with the lawsuits that Intel lost to AMD most of these are now gone thou. and that's the reason a 2600k is $300 instead of $~1k
