Maybe Samsung can form a partnership with Amazon and make a run with WebOS. The more competition the better. Samsung's relationship with Sony has gone well. If Samsung keeps their "possible" PC division small, like Sony, and using their vast resources, I think Samsung could produce some very nice PC's.

Samsung may be after the patents that protect WebOS and continue to use android. That way they can force a cross license agreement with apple and utilise the huge android market place (compared to webos').

I must agree that WebOS is the most interesting thing there for Sammy. They can commit resources to make it successful. It is a matter of long-term vision which HP lacks. Apple has forced Sammy to take it on and now they have reach for a lethal weapon. They need to groom it properly so they can take on Google and Apple. Its a doable thing though difficult but very much worth it. Go Sammy!. Forget the PC business, its not going anywhere fast and is a sink-hole for money.

Samsung could make WebOS mainstream (unlike PALM) just like the have with Android.. If nothing else, they could integrate the WebOS UI into Bada or even Android's Touchwiz.. I think Android needing powerful dual core phones to run decent is just way to expensive for OEMs.
