I really don't think that this device will gain any success, the original DS banked on having a touchscreen, which was new to gaming in it's era, today EVERY smartphone has a much much better touchscreen, and sticking with a resistive style screen and a stylus was a terrible mistake. The 3D screen is an absolute gimmick, and an undeveloped one at that seeing as far more refined versions of the parallax barrier type display are starting to pop up in other devices with respectable display resolutions. The hardware it's self is just plain bad and inexcusable for this generation. The 3DS really has nothing new going for it. Nintendo makes nothing but cheap quality gimmick products these days, and it's amazing that people are finally realizing this.
