In 3-5 years you might get the equivalent GPU rendering power as the GTX560 Ti or 6950 inside a CPU die, which will be an amazing feat (edit thanks fuadzilla!) don't get me wrong, but that won't be enough to play the current new games as they will need the GTX960 Ti or 9950 HD.

In 2014? :) I agree it sounds like a good CPU+GPU combo but i can't see a PC with a non-dedicated GPU playing new games as decent settings. I am sure they will be able to play them at low res and most settings turned down or off. IMO, GTX560 Ti or 6950 is just about right for playing most games at high res and settings on high, i know things will get more efficient but you will never fit those cards inside a CPU die.

Trinity is looking awesome, low power, decent GPU/CPU combo. Wil be the first time a PC with no dedicated GPU will be able to play game's at decent settings. Unless there is some kind of disaster with Trinity's CPU performance, im building my next rig with FM2 Mobo, DDR3 2133 and Trinity cpu, in a tidy HTPC case :)

Seifert is not selling YOU the next generation. He's selling that to investors. Judging by the increase in stock price after the call, it worked. Contrast that to their competitor Nvidia, who's stock is tanking. Oh dear.

I know we all like to hear about future chips and everything but does anybody think AMD needs to concentrate on getting the current generation out the door before they try to sell us on the next gen? If Intel and AMD were more accurate with their roadmaps they would actually get more money from me in the long run. I have been wanting to upgrade my PC for about 2 years but get put off as when they release one chip they are talking about how amazing the next chip is going to be! If i had know that SB-E would take so long, Ivy Bridge would get pushed so far back and Bulldozer would not be out till the end of Sept then i would have bought 2500k on day-1 and probably bought again when Ivy Bridge / Bulldozer NG was ready.
