We've had a lot of fake new console rumors this year, and looking at how costly this gen was, both MS and Sony have good reasons to hold off. Frankly, I don't believe this one.

Back to the hardware though, I am intrigued as to whether Sony will stick with CELL as if they don't then will the lose backwards comparability with PS3? IBM have some very nice chips incorporating the CELL arch coming out which would be both easier to program for but also maintain PS3 comparability. I think nVidia pisses off anyone they work with so probably all consoles will be AMD this time. I would expect them all to be on 28nm and hopefully us AMD's Graphics Core Next arch.

Do you know how big the difference between hack proof and sql vulnerability is ? "Remember hackers and nerds are always trying to hack windows, plant virus's etc but Microsoft is always ahead" Not really, they got a lot better with 7 but its in no way as secure as you make it out to be and thats considering the huge userbase. Still, win7 is /win.

@Boomstick777 I can understand your logic, they are constantly having to defend themselves so they should know what they are doing. Problem with that is no system that is online and interactive can or will ever be 100% hack proof. Its all about how much the 'talented' hackers want to get in.

Not sure why you think Microsoft is untrustworthy, I trust them with my data 100%. I use Windows 7 and love it secure and reliable just like the network on my Xbox 360. Remember hackers and nerds are always trying to hack windows, plant virus's etc but Microsoft is always ahead, I couldn't imagine any one else better for designing secure networks than a company that make the most secure operating system and have been in software since computers began.. I trust Sony's security and customer dealings about as much as I would trust Gary Glitter with a child...
