Ivy Bridge video cannot touch Llano. Unless you use your notebook for compute-heavy work then your subjective experience, thus satisfaction, should be better with Llano. I think AMD's real insight with Fusion is that for most people* the CPU became powerful enough in notebooks a few years ago, but the video needed real improvement. * 'most people' does not include gamers or people doing pivots on massive spreadsheets, etc etc.

Apples and oranges, friend. Itanium's design is very different from x86 - even at 1.73GHz Itanium is a floating point monster. Also Itanium has a full set of big tin dependability/management features built in, stuff that is add-on circuitry in the x86 world.

The DOO DOO machine is losing again. More delays and excuses. Hey Nvidia! Buy this dung heap and put it out of its misery! Fire all of its officers and fix it! Make it the low end side of the business and totally lock up the whole graphics market!! You'd be in every part of the market!!

ivy bridge is going to be taking on trinity, not llano. aka bulldozer + even better graphics. even if the CPU side doesn't completely match up(it will be much closer then it is now as a minimum) it will be a much more attractive unit.

Well BD isn't out yet and I haven't seen any plans to strike low-end discreet graphics from AMD's road-maps. Those that want pure CPU power will want to go with BD and low discreet, but that's until BD Fusion comes along. Add to that the possibility of going high-end graphics. I think it will be a better choice. With Llano you can settle only for low-end to mid end, so that needs a good thought. On the other hand Llano is a good Notebook chip, can't argue with that. Anyway, both will make them money.

There isn't anything to compete with Llano in regards to price/performance. When you invest in a laptop unless you want to blow a couple hundred or more on a three warranty you're going to go for cheap because if you're smart you know products aren't built to last, they're built to drive sales and profit. Even the cheapest laptops with dedicated graphics are still about $600+ and most of them tend to sport very low end Intel CPU's which won't be able to compete with Llano in both the CPU and GPU aspects. Honestly I think this will be a large boon for AMD.
