intel is making huge claims talking about reaching todays level discreet gpus in their fraction-of-a-die. Right now SB is running somewhere around 100 GFLOPs when overclocked to the max .. IB is supposed to get 2x improvement... lets call that 200 GFLOPs. 200GFlOPs is almost up to the level of the absolute lowest performing discreet card from nvidia. Nvidia and AMD's high-end discreet cards push ~2.5TFLOPs. .. 2500/200 =~ 12.5x increase in performance from IB to haswell. If they doubled the size of the processor with nothing but GPU cores, they'd have trouble meeting their claim.

Llano is only the beginning. by 2013 AMD will have completely merged CPU and GPU, as well as standardized and open interface to both CPU's and GPU's on die. Intel will have fun dealing with quad core arm + Fusion on one die.

I'm def a skeptic whenever Intel mentions graphics and superior in the same sentence. Actually I'm a skeptic whenever Intel and graphics are mentioned in the same sentence. But I have to wonder in 2 -3 years will Intel have there 3d transistor-resistor tech in production and if so that may give them the leg up in all departments including graphics.
