AMD! BLAH BLAH BLAH! INTEL BLAH BLAH BLAH! Lets quit speculating and wait and see the benchmarks between the two. Who cares how the CPUS work/differ! It only matters which one is crowned KING!

The reason AMD has gone down this route is to match performance against multi-threaded applications and single-threaded applications compared to intel. AMD CPU's are pretty good in applications that are 'true' multi-threaded, but the aren't so great with single-threaded applications against intels - hence the max turbo boost on half the cores, to gain back the performance in those single threaded applications. And I don't think Ivybridge will be out until half way through Q4 2011. Whereas AMD's Fx (Bulldozer) should be out by Q3 2011 sometime, getting their early adopters (base) market established.

Thats doubtful, Intel will using 3D power technology in there next line of CPU's (Ivybridge) AMD will also implement a tech like Intel's later, does that mean AMD are copying Intel?
