I think Facebook is here to stay though, at least for a while. A lot of people who are 40+ years old use it and they tend to stick to their habits.

Seeing the past failures, sure Facebook will slow down the growth unless they extend membership to pets and aliens. The thing is that FB is done well in terms of social interaction, a bit complicated but well enough compared to MySpace or Hi5. Just taking a look at the tagging system, on hi5 people were looking weird at it, didn't knew how to use it or used it to annoy others, but on FB they got the idea of what to do with it and its limitations were set properly. Ever seen a crowd of people and the kids tagging like there's no tomorrow just for fun?... Or a heard of sheep, just for fun as well. FB works.

Well people should have realized that a social network company that is run by one of the most unsocial people that should tell you how much you can trust it. But people seem to be too dump adding 1 and 1 together.

According to Alexa, onlymeworld the new alternative to facebook saw a 1800% increase in membership and traffic, of which 43% of that traffic was from the united states. Recently, Facebook claimed that it received no complaints from it's members about their Facial Recognition Software, and Privacy Concerns. Sorry to say, but if losing 6 million members last month in the USA is not enough proof of how disgusted people are with facebook, then I don't know what is?
