Well maybe now that everyone sort of has discovered how useless a smartphone actually is and most of them are really bad in their key operations which is being a FRACKING PHONE! We can move on, maybe?

This is where innovation will really turn up the heat! Innovation from any company could swing the market into their favor and also not to mention that this will also introduce cheaper variety of smartphones in the market allowing tight budget customers to get their hands on one of them! 8)

1.) Now the smartphone platform providers will have to work harder to compete with each other to steal each other's customers! (or win over - loaded language there). 2.) Now the smartphone sellers will have to work harder to make smartphones appeal to broader audiences - by developing and refining 'killer apps' for people whose interest may not have been piqued yet. 3.) Now they can work hard to bring down the price at one end (there's always someone who wants one, but can't afford it) and add more features at the high end (there's always someone who already has one, but will get starry eyed for a *new* 'killer app' that they didn't have before).
