The Asus Direct Cu II is on average just as fast as reference GTX 560 TI (i own one from Gainward) but it's 10$ cheaper and i think it's not as loud as the Ti. My GTX 560 Ti sounds like a vacum cleaner with the fan over 49% and while playing games like Crysis 2 the fan often stays above 50%. If someone is looking for a midrange card and is considering a 6870, GTX 560, GTX 560 Ti, whatever you want to buy just get one with a custom dual fan cooler, the peace of mind you get will be alot more important than 2 or 3 fps you lose in performance. Trust me i feagured that out myself, the hard way. LE: Only board partners can make interesting custom designs for this card, the vanila GTX 560 is just a big yawn fest.

"which was by the way an interesting mid-range card, the GTX 560 is a direct replacement for the, now quite old, GTX 460." How old was GTX 460? Less than a year for sure. Was that too old? How about those 8800GT-9800GT-GTS250-3XX they are sold more than 3 years. Anyway... this is a little faster than GTX 460 and 10W less power consumption, not very interesting.
