Bench-what? seriously? you live to just benchmark your cpu everyday? hahhahaha, sorry mate but thats sound a bid stupid P.S. Down-clock your cpu to 1.6GHz permanently as from what I see you have no need for more power and you won't even notice it in everyday work that you do in your rig ..tell everyone that your cpu is 'capable' of 4.4+ and prove it with some benchs.. but DONT drive a ferrary with 50km/h on highway, its lame ;} ..just a friendly advice :}

Casual gamer and nothing to do with an O/C rig. Sorry man but its useless, at least with my rig I convert, process video's and music HD and SD so I need power. If I didn't do much I would be happy with underclock my cpu/gpu and run in a quit and not-power-hungry system. You are like having a ferrary and running with top speed of 50km/h or 30mph if you prefer :P

last year my old rig containing e6600 @ 3.3 ghz with a gtx 285 ftw crashed because of the power supply i was only able to salvage my gpu which i sold. then i built my pc top of the line in April 2010, their is always better too lol. i don't play with antialiasing 4x i try to go for 32x or 16x which i do see a difference and thats why i love pc because i have a choice to do so or force it as i please.

I used to upgrade to the latest & greatest. Now I'm happy with a Q9550/GTX560Ti/8GB-RAM. I got the GTX560Ti because my old HD480 developed problems. I haven't found a game or app in a few years that really demanded an upgrade... I can't tell the difference btwn 2x AA and 8x AA anymore, I suppose I'm getting old lol.

Are you doing something with your 4.45GHz cpu or just like to have O/C to say that you have passion for no-need-speed? I mean If you play games then your O/C is useless, if you do something more then you have an excuse. BTW I'm on AMD Phenom II X4 905e(2.5@3.2 on air, I have liquid cooling but I'm lazy to put it back on my rig), 6GB Ram, AMD Radeon HD6950(1GB).

..cheaper and more wise move, also intel doesn't have ANYTHING except entry level gpu..so why you are saying to me that I compare intel entry level with amd/nvidia high end? Does intel have any high end GPU that I don't know? ..and don't tell me about the failed project called 'Larrabee' - Oh btw any entry level amd/nvidia gpu will tear appart any intel gpu, bear that in mind..(Part 2/2)
