Well you can get better, try the 2500k. Would everyone stop comparing Phenom to Sandy Bridge. I don't think there is anyone who would argue that 1090T is a better buy than 2600k but its like comparing Phenoms to a Conroe. Bulldozer is an all new chip so just because the 2-3 year old Phenon's suck against current SB doesn't mean the brand new BD will not compete. So don't compare old out-dated AMD products to brand new Intel ones.

Locked down crap sold twice to people. where the hell is the real intel parts like LGA1356? Intel can kiss my furry ars with their quad-channel LGA2011 server board and triple prices. Sandy Bridge an good price? Yeah so is Celeron.. @loadwick Hell, I honestly don't understand what is with the people not being pissed off. Current situation is Intel sells craps and accepts this with smile on their face with lame compares to 6-cores or BD, lol. Where the honest truth is, if these people would ones in their life see an true 6-core they would quite quickly change their opinions.

I followed what you said clearly, I don't know why some people didn't get it. I'll probably get voted down for agreeing with you, but yeah you didn't say "BD WILL CRUSH SANDY!!!" You said a lot of people will wait to see how it does before deciding which platform to go with.

F*CK ME, what is everyones problem today! I never said Sandy Bridge wasn't good, as it is very good, but that doesn't mean that one day something better won't come out and beat it!!! I am not saying that will definitely be Bulldozer i am just saying its worth wait a few weeks to be sure SB is still the best price to performance chip.

SB prices are fantastic. The Core i5 2400 out performs the Phenom 2 X6 1090T and is cheaper. Get your head on straight. The 2600K is around $320, can't get a better price/performance ratio than that.

Firstly, we have NO.NADA.NONE accurate or trustworthy example of what Bulldozer performance is actually supposed to be. There are some "leaked" benchmarks of the Interlagos/Zambezi chips but they are not confirmed nor written with any standard. Even if you did decide to believe those, they are mostly done on Linux, server-based systems. This means basically squat for consumer based PC users. I'm excited to see what Bulldozer can do, but lets be rational. Now, lets celebrate Sandy Bridge for what it is. A great leap in processor tech that will drive the market to create even greater processors. The performance of Sandy Bridge is a large step up from other consumer based processors and Ivy Bridge is supposed to be 20% and support LGA 1155. Celebrate that we have choice!

@ Drac, Glad i could amuse. Although i bet people like you were laughing before Athlon 64, you had to swallow your pride on release day for that didn't you! If you read what i said i am not some blind fanboy like you seem to be, i merely said it would make sense to wait just a few weeks 'incase' AMD pull a great chip out of the hat. Time will tell but if nothing more it might bring your precious SB prices down.

My reasoning was that BD is about 1Q away, LGA-2011 is about another quarter after that and Ivy Bridge will be about another 1-2 quarters after that but this will depend on how good BD is, Intel can release IV whenever they want.

BS, for Ivy u have to wait almost 1 year(q1/q2 2012), but It make sense to wait for BD, I only hope it's not going to be just another low cost/lost performance crap

I lol'ed for nearly all day reading such nonsence LOL You have no clue then about IT whatsoever - many enthusiasts exactly waiting Z68 to go with Sandy,at least try read some forums before posting such BS Best bang/buck? amd 1100t cost more than 2500K,yet its got owned in 99.99% tests, thats amd's bang/buck? Dont have wet dreams about amd Shovel coming even close to Sandy - it will business as usual, and they at the best will compete with Intels previous i5,i7.Which i highly doubt knowing amd.At this time some OEM already should have leaked some benches,we see nothing, this just shows how badly amd lagging behind Intel LOL
