No, since those are partner OC'ed cards... to be factory OC'ed cards nvidia themselves need to set the clocks. What you get right now from AMD are AMD made cards, partners haven't yet made OC'ed cards but I would expect some ASUS "Jupiter" or something like that in the next few months. Then compare that with an OC'ed 590.

Newegg sold out my arse. I have been watching every day and not once have they been in stock. more like never had them than sold out. Maybe a few hundred in the EU doesn't qualify for paper launch but it is sure as hell pathetic. From Newegg.: 7 6990's listed from 7 different vendors. 4 in stock 3 sold out. all 7 were in stock yesterday. 2 590's in stock from EVGA and ASUS. Both sold out and never once seen in stock.

Technically the factory setting is the 830MHz If you want to say the the switches setting is factory. Then you can also say that the OC'd 590 classified is factory. as it comes that way. I also want to point out that the 590 OC's easily 630 with no Vmod's.

@Allaboutthe$ in pretty much about every AMD article he managed to write until one or two months ago, after which the tone changed. I haven't seen you here before... maybe you were just a regular reader but a lot of the people reading this can confirm Fuad's stance towards AMD. And the 6990's OC switch brings the actual performance the card was supposed to deliver, but then there's the PCIe limit they need to respect. So a fair comparison would be a factory GTX 590 to a switched 6990 since that is also a factory setting. The only thing good nvidia made for 590 is the cooler, but then again, it will make the job of partners a lot harder to bring out something better, except for those that slap water blocks on it.

If you really want to know HOW GOOD any Hardware is you want to read HARDOCP's reviews simply because they don't BS and tell it like it is, at MAX Settings so you KNOW before hand what it can and can't do. Kyle has earned my rep for putting the money were his mouth is. His reviews are by far the best. When you spend 6990 or 590 kinda $$$ you dont play at low res on 20" Monitor, if you do then your wasting your $$. http://www.hardocp.com
