sure is, half year old GPU is already ancient. it doesn't mean that u can't play games with it. It was and still is great card. but my point was: two quite old chips on single PCB will cost more than 2xsingle 460 and might force u to buy new case cos card is very long. Who would want to buy it.Only fool. 560 and 570 are better options if one want to buy Nvidia GPU.

Wrong. A 560 has a better pcb (parts dont overheat at 850MHz range whereas 460 voltage control mosfets run too hot as they have been designed to handle less power). And 560 has more shaders activated but everyone knows that yet you didnt mention it. Also 460 was crippled to 336 spus to improve yields not to save 470 sales. But on the other hands clocks were low to reduce costs & get the card slower than 470. Finally 560 is overpriced when 460 never was. ;-)

@JEskandari Ofc, a 460 is a much better card then a 5830 and probably the best Fermi card because it had the right power use/price/performance but for SLI what matters is performance only and its just fail to get 2 cards and all the SLI problems if you can get 1 card without all this problems. The performance and price has to be A LOT better and very likely it wont be.

More shaders doesnt mean that its faster, it could have gimped clocks or/and higher price. SLI isnt 100% more performance either. 2 GPU is a minus man, you have to hope that drivers dont mess it up and micro shutters ofc. 2GB aint nothing special since 6950/70 have it.

well It's true that they had the same power usage but HD5830 was the result of salvaging parts while gtx460 was the best of it's family it has better performance and better over-clock capabilities and produce less heat Because NVIDIA feared that nobody will buy GTX470 anymore they didn't release the chip with all it's potential otherwise a gf114 has nothing that there is not already inside gf104
