What was the point to release this review of HD6990 at the same day with the release of GTX590 and then, even speculating about if is GTX590 faster? I think you knew already which one is faster and didn't include GTX590 here. Absolutely nothing to see here.

@RickyT23 This really isn't time to buy 'a card' because of PhysX. @Super XP Who says there ever was an issue to go to 32nm ? Some news article propaganda PR? Last gen sells and we have nothing to run even previous (unless you count bad coding and ports) point why we don't have 22nm already. Same goes to all hardware hell even CPUs are spinning around in circle because no demand and old sells and no need for new so they restrict new, so, when there actually is something new we can be sure these cores won't run it. As for AMD drivers yeah, they've gone really well on-wards ever since 11.1, but I just cannot forgive them how they bury the past and try to evolve not providing support for old or ripping the old software support down while at it.

The catalyst 11.4 BETA is supposed to bring massive performance increases in tons of games for the HD 6990, and several benchmarks are showing that as the game detail is increased, AMD start to widen the gap between themselves and Nvidia, I think the conclusion is that Nvidia hardware is able to push out more fps on lower detail settings whilst the HD 6990 is able to carry and handle much more workload, probably thanks to the extra 1GB of memory and larger memory bandwidth

I do agree NVIDIA has about a year's worth experience in Driver Development. ATI will soon catch up, but yes NV and drivers are FACT. Though I have to admit, AMD has done a great job with its current crop of drivers. Hopefully they will eventually compare to NV sometime in the very near future. This is FACT, so if I get a negative, so be it. And yes I am all ATI/AMD...

To stoneeh: Where do you see NV beating AMD with this Gen of Graphics Cards? I believe you are way off, if it wasn't for that 32nm issue for both companies (AMD & NV), AMD would have moved right to 32nm with it's Brand New Design. Currently ATI / AMD has been top dog for several Gen's including the HD 4800, HD 5800 series and once again the HD 6900 series. The HD 6900 series is an extension of the HD 5800 series but with massive modifications to the design. It was a quick fix due to the 32nm problems both companies faced. It's safe to say both AMD & NVIDIA have done a great job with the cards they've released this time around. Both are almost neck to neck depending on the game. So calm down and EnJoY the GAME...

OK I have seen the reviews for the 590 over at Guru3D and I would like to say right now, to WarriorMoronGuy : The GTX 590 and the 6990 are too close to call really. Their performance is neck and neck, they each beat eachother on about half of the tests and vice versa. English? Understand? I think that I would buy the 6990 because it will overclock further, or I might buy the 590 purely for the PhysX, I couldn't decide. And also: If you have the PSU to handle it, and you are thinking of buying the 6990 or the GTX 590 then: DONT!!! There are some real cheap GTX 480's out there at the moment, Just buy two of those and SLI 'em. It will be about the same speed as a 590 methinks, and it will cost you less than £400. I saw it yesterday for £380 (for two).
