I think the question will they ever be in stock?! From what i have seen the average 560 only gets to about 930-960MHz so we are talking about some serious cheery picking. TBH i think its a very good value card right now and wouldn't be surprised if either the price goes up or the clock goes down like we have seen with other cards in the past.

@arclight WOW! Just saw the link you gave me. Not sure how that baby got past me. That is one sweet card, with that cooler and that overclock and then unlocking it to a full 6970 would make it a very fast puppy.

@arclight Yes i think you are right, the 68xx was the first AMD cards, that i can remember, to be launched with non-ref coolers. AMD seems to be very worried about custom coolers and i have no idea why. It is the only thing that stops me buying AMD as i like the look of custom coolers, how they lower the temps, noise and allow you overclock the nuts off your card! @Regenweald This is the first time i have seen a launch actually done right! If i needed/could afford a new card then i would be buying one of these. Normally you have to wait months for all the custom boards to come out and by then i am looking at the next generation coming over the horizon!!

Partners seem borderline desperate to get these things sold, i don't remember a launch with so many different versions launched within a few days by EVERYONE. Makes me wonder about the margins and sales of the 580 and 570.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/msi-r6950-twin-frozr-ii-oc-review/ Still i agree they seem slow at making custom cooled AMD cards, but it might be more related to AMD's policy in this matter. I remember they didn't allow parterns to release custom cards for quite some time after the launch of 6870 while for 6850 there were custom ones since day 1(if my mind isn't playing tricks on me).

Why doesn't MSI ever put these coolers on AMD products? Put a cooler like this on the new 6990 and it would be cooler, quieter but most of all much faster. They could use 6970 frequencies or even higher!
