If this leak is real then it's less than 10% faster than my hd5670 in 3dmark06. The extra ROP's and TMU's will certainly help more than the extra shaders, but to be honest this appears to be more of a consolidation of AMD's performance per mm2 advantage over Nvidia and improving their margins than it is any large improvement over Redwood.

I don't understand why the slower, cheaper card has twice the memory. Is GDDR5 that much more expensive than DDR3 that they can pack twice as much on a card and still sell it for less? Edit: I checked the link, and it says the 6570 will have GDDR5 and the 6670 will have DDR3. Not very credible info at all.

GPU clock naturally gives more performance but when you play on FullHD and with AA, it loses a lot more FPSs then it would be the case with 256bit. A mid class card with a low class memory bus is non sense.

5770 has enough memory bandwidth. You can confirm that because memory oc has no effect in performance whereas gpu overclock increases linearly the performance.
