Maybe you should read again, as I said: in very few/certain scenarios, on high resolution+AA and all that. By that I really meant the huge ass resolution of 5760x1200 with 8x MSAA. And I posted it here because it was asked if we have a use or even a reason to use 3GB on such a card, apparently some rich bastard playing on 3 screens mode with an SLI setup will really appreciate the extra memory, which then makes this GTX 580 "unique". Also check that review, one of the scenarios I mentioned happens with F1 2010, where thanks to the extra memory both Cayman cards deliver best IQ and performance. And again: "But yeah, very few scenarios. :]"

Really? Show me where the reference GTX 580 fails to this magic 6970 with 2GB GDDR5 you speak of. and btw, that review link you posted is tested at 5760x1200. dont know why you'd post that here. at that high ass res, of course you need more memory, but that high is not the norm. still, the GTX 580's owned.

Well the 1,5GB is actually a bottleneck for the GTX 580 in certain scenarios, high resolution+AA and all that...Which then makes the 580 slower than the 6970 2GB. But yeah, very few scenarios. :] Recommended read: http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article/2011/01/11/amd_69706950_cfx_nvidia_580570_sli_review
